Reclaiming Your Health
Has your health been an issue lately? Have you put exercise on the back burner because your priorities have been elsewhere? Have you had an illness or injury that depleted you of energy or held you back from moving your body? Have you gained weight recently and you’re now ready to lose it?
Whatever your current health situation is, I feel you, sister. However, now, I’m ready to reclaim my health.
Self-Discipline as Self-Care
Whatever your current thoughts are around self-discipline, I’d like to present a new perspective: self-discipline is a beautiful and powerful form of self-care.
What do I mean by that?
I mean that practicing self-discipline is keeping a commitment to yourself. It’s making a promise to the most important person (psst- YOU!), and following through with that promise. It is putting your life’s priorities at the forefront of each and every day and following through in a way that you never have before.
Let’s Talk About Rejection
Rejection creates resilience
The ability to be told “no” and to stay strong, or bounce back even stronger, is all about building grit and resilience. Overcoming obstacles, challenges, and rejections, and moving past them or finding other solutions, will ultimately lead to personal and professional success. My work as a Life Coach has taught me that humans are resilient. While being rejected stings, you WILL bounce back, reinforcing your own resiliency.
Imposter Syndrome is Fantastic
When you experience imposter syndrome, LEAN INTO IT. Think to yourself, “Isn’t this wonderful that I’m putting myself in a new and uncomfortable situation? I must be growing!” Use imposter syndrome to trigger your mind into propelling your own growth. It’s uncomfortable because you are freaking learning! As you practice being uncomfortable, you continue becoming more and more BADASS.
Living in the Present Moment
One of my biggest struggles in terms of mindset is staying connected to the present moment. I often find myself thinking about the “should haves” of the past or the “should bes” and “could bes” of the future. I’m so stuck in my own head that I don’t even enjoy the present. Do you struggle with this, too?
One Tip to Improve Your Relationships
Instead of viewing self care as “treating yourself,” I encourage you to intentionally take daily actions that you know will bring your emotions to a more positive space. When you begin to purposefully incorporate these actions into your day to day life, your emotional well will fill, bringing you overall higher levels of joy, lower levels of stress, and greater fulfillment in your day-to-day life.
